Pocket Rumble blasts onto Nintendo Switch on 5th July!

Summer is officially here, just in time to announce Pocket Rumble by Cardboard Robot Games is coming to the Nintendo Switch eShop on Thursday 5th July!

Pocket Rumble is a super streamlined, beginner-friendly fighting game, inspired by SNK’s classic fighters on the Neo Geo Pocket Color. It keeps all the gameplay elements that make traditional fighting games great, but reduces the level of execution and memorization to the absolute minimum, with a simple 2-button control system and easy special move inputs.

Experienced players will be able to learn the game quickly and then focus in on deeper elements of strategy and mind-games, whilst newer players get to grips with the ins and outs without being overwhelmed. There’s even an on-screen frame data bar and visual indicators to highlight factors such as invulnerability. Pocket Rumble aims to allow everyone to hone their skills to a competitive level, without too much grinding in training mode! And with online multiplayer supported by GGPO netcode, you’ll be able to put your skills to the test with online ranked mode.

The game features a diverse cast of characters, each with their own unique meter and mechanics. There’s the cutesy Keiko who wields a demonic detonating cat called Q, to the grappler Subject 11 who harnesses psychokinetic powers to toss enemies like ragdolls, and ninja cowboy Hector, who uses a katana to keep his opponents at bay, but be careful, his specials also cost life-points, which must be restored using his meter. You can find out more about the characters and their special moves by visiting the wiki!
